V.2. Cookies, Pixels, and Other Tracking Mechanisms

We and our partners use various technologies to automatically collect information when Users access and use our Services, including cookies and other similar technologies. Cookies are files automatically created by websites that users visit, which can be transferred to a User's computer or other electronic device to uniquely identify the User's browser. When a User uses the Services, we and our partners may place one or more cookies on the User's computer or other electronic devices or use other technologies that provide similar functionality.

  • We and our partners may use cookies to connect a User's activity on the Service with other information we store about the User in the User's account profile or the User's previous interactions on our Service, to store the User's preferences, and for other purposes as listed in this Privacy Policy. The use of cookies helps us improve the quality of our Services for Users, by identifying information that is most interesting to Users, tracking trends, measuring the effectiveness of advertising, or storing information that Users may want to access frequently, such as shortlist attributes or User favorite searches. At any time, Users can adjust the settings on their browser to decline cookies by following the instructions associated with their browser. However, if Users choose to disable cookies, many free features of the Service may not function properly. • Some of our websites may also include pixels, which are electronic files to count users who have visited that website, to track activity over time and across different websites, to determine a user's interaction with emails we send, to identify certain cookies on the computer or other electronic device that accesses that page, or to collect other related information, which may be linked to a User's unique browser, device identifier, or IP address. For example, we may deploy pixels on specific Services where a User views a certain list so that we can track whether that list is relevant to the User when making recommendations. Through these pixels and cookies, we collect information about Users’ use of Our Services, including the type of browser Users use, access times, pages viewed, Users’ IP address, and the website Users visited before navigating to Our Services.

  • We also collect information about the computer or mobile device Users use to access Our Services, such as the hardware type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information, and website browsing behavior.

  • We also allow certain third parties to collect information about Users’ online activities through cookies and other technologies when Users use the Website or App. These third parties include (a) business partners who collect information when Users view or interact with one of their advertisements on the Website or App; and (b) advertising networks, who collect information about the User's interests when the User views or interacts with one of the advertisements they place on various websites on the Internet. The information collected by these third parties is non-personally identifiable information, which is used to make predictions about the User's characteristics, interests or preferences and to display advertisements on the Website, the Application and on the Internet that are tailored to the User's interests.

  • The User can manage the types of cookies allowed through his/her browser settings, including completely blocking all cookies if the User wishes. For information on how to manage cookies on the User's browser, please see the help section of the browser the User is using.
